YOUR SAFETY – our No.1 Priority

COVID-19 Update: We are now fully open.

Woodbridge Hill Dental Practice Remains Open following
Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s announcement on the 31st October 2020 due to the rising numbers of cases of Covid-19.

There are no restrictions with regards to dental treatments and you are actively encouraged to keep your appointments.

At Woodbridge Hill Dental Practice we have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Virus killers and Extra Oral suction units, etc, and will continue to follow our high standards in cross infection control.

What next?

Please continue to attend your appointments.

If you are worried about your attendance please contact us to discuss your concerns and we can always postpone your treatment till a later date.

When you arrive:

We advise that you wear a mask at all times while inside the dental practice and only remove your mask at the request of the dental professional. We will continue to check your temperature and if this is above 37.8C, you will be advised to rebook your treatment and to follow government guidelines. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for an appointment due to social distancing guidelines.

As you enter the building you will need to use the alcohol disinfectant rub to disinfectant your hands.

The treatment rooms will be prepared prior to your appointment with all surfaces disinfected after each patient. The air purification/exchange units will continue to be used throughout the day in each surgery. We have sourced PPE and unlike the start of the Pandemic (March 2020 in the UK), there is no shortage.

Please do not be concerned as we continue to maintain high standards of cross infection control.

Stay safe and please contact us if you have any questions.

At Woodbridge Hill Dental Practice, we have spent weeks reviewing everything we do in great details. We want to assure our patients that dental treatment at our practice will be carried out with the safety of all of our patients and team members as our most important priority.

In March, April, and May 2020, Dr. Farahani and his team have worked tirelessly. We have spent countless hours researching with global referencing on safe standards of procedure. We are proud to have created a “gold standard” of safety and patient care to be effective against Covid-19.

These are some of the important changes you will see when you visit us for dental care:

1- Checking your health & wellbeing

We will ask you a few questions about your experience with Covid-19, how you feel and if your family members have been well. We want to provide dental care for our patients when it is safe to do so. However, with careful diary management, we are prepared for everyone; including the elderly and those with more a complex medical history.

2- Contactless journey

We will help you with appointments, consents, medical history forms and financial matters using digital facilities.

3- Clean air systems

We have invested in high quality, modern clean air technology in every surgery– this will ensure there is clean and purified air in our practice. The machines will remove 99.99% of respiratory viruses including Coronavirus.

4- Surface disinfection

After extensive research, we have chosen Salvesan (www.aqualution.co.uk) as our surface disinfectant. It is proven to kill all germs by 99.99% within minutes. It is effective against Coronavirus and it is environmentally safe.

5- Contactless Water Taps

We have installed sensor-activated water taps in our toilets to minimize cross-infection.

6- PPE

We have purchased suitable masks, gowns, visors, goggles, hats, shoe covers, hand washing soaps, etc. The dentist, hygienist and nurse will be well prepared for your dental treatment.

7- Rubber dam

This is a sheet of rubber that can isolate a tooth or group of teeth – we will use this whenever possible. In this way there will be minimal aerosol generation during dental procedures. This will make treatment safe and comfortable.

8- Longer appointments

We want to provide high quality dentistry, with long lasting results. This takes more time. Also, we will spend longer cleaning the treatment room between patients for your added confidence and peace of mind.

9- Screens and Hand Sanitisers

We have installed screens at our reception desks, and we will provide sanitisers to our staff and patients. Please feel free to use these products.

10- Clutter free environment

Our environment will be even more clutter free. Our staff and cleaners will therefore be able to keep surfaces clean and disinfected.

Summary

So, as we get more serious in the fight against Covid-19, we will maintain our customary friendly, professional and relaxed approach to patient care. We know it is a big deal to go to the dentist in the first place. However, Covid-19 should not be a worry for you at Woodbridge Hill Dental Practice.
