After a pre-agreed spell wearing clear braces, the time should come when they have had their effect and you can stop wearing them. At that point, you will need to come in for a last appointment to check for any wear and tear to the teeth and to ensure you need no further treatment. It may be that, in order to protect and finalise the results you have achieved with the braces, you need to wear a retainer for a period. This will be addressed at the final appointment, and a time frame agreed.
